INTRODUCTION
Printex is advancing the 360 degree printing of catheters and guide wires through innovative (patent pending) machine, print pad, and tooling design. The Printex CathX 360 pad printing system is able to print circumferences ranging from 0.015″ to 1.0″ diameter.

Printex is advancing the 360 degree printing of catheters and guide wires through innovative (patent pending) machine, print pad, and tooling design. The Printex CathX 360 pad printing system is able to print circumferences ranging from 0.015″ to 1.0″ diameter.
The single-sided, fixed-angle pad design (patent pending) applies uniform pressure throughout the rolling print process. This cannot be accomplished through the use of conventional “U” or “V” shaped pads.
A universal catheter fixture system (patent pending) accommodates a range of catheter diameters and lengths. Special features of this part-holding fixture ensures accurate rotational printing of the catheter while eliminating cross-contamination of ink (between catheter and fixture surface) during the rolling print cycle.

A robust and precise print head assembly using linear slide plates and ways (in place of conventional tie rods and bushings) to support servo motor drives for X-, Y-, Z-, and R-axis pad movements. This design ensures maximum rigidity, accuracy, and repeatability for 360 degree printing of wide format graphics up to 30.0″.
There is no need for manual adjustments of the print pad,
the image plate, or the fixture between job changes. A programmable automatic pad cleaning tape-off station is standard equipment. No tools are required for pad or plate installation or removal. Job setup and changeover times are greatly reduced.
An articulating print head with duel angle pad positions (patent pending) in combination with a single-sided, fixed-angle print pad enables 360 degree roll printing on catheters up to 1.0″ diameter.
A User Centric LCD touchscreen interface complete with pre programmed settings to tackle a wide range of catheter diameters. A conventional pad printing program can be selected when the 360 degree roll printing function is not required.
